Nominations Requested for Rocha Medal 2017

Since 1982 a bronze medal and a cash prize have been awarded annually by the ISRM for an outstanding doctoral thesis in rock mechanics or rock engineering, to honour the memory of Past President Manuel Rocha. Cooling Prize Deadline Extended

The deadline for Cooling Prize submissions has been extended by one week until 23rd January 2015. The Cooling Prize is named after Dr Leonard Cooling, one of the founders of British Soil Mechanics, It is aimed at those in the Geotechnical/Ground engineering industry under the age of 30.
