Do you use Plaxis 3D and have knowledge of Python? The BGA ECG and BTSYM are running a four session CPD course titled ‘A Brief Introduction to Python in Plaxis’ that will provide insights on how you can use Python to speed up your Plaxis modelling both pre and post analysis. The focus of the course is to engage geotechnical and tunnelling engineers and to provide guidance on how they can use Python within their Plaxis models and potentially in other aspects of their roles too.
The course will cover, over 4 sessions
- 15/6/2023 - In person: An overview of Python showing how it can be used for Plaxis and other cases (£5 for this session ONLY)
- 29/6/2023 - remote: An example of using Python for inputs and model creation in Plaxis
- 13/7/2023 - remote: Using Python to extract results
- 27/7/2023 - remote: Using Python to visualise data
Course requirements:
- Previous use of Plaxis, it is expected attendees will have a basic knowledge of Plaxis and how to use it
- Basic knowledge of Python-there are free and paid for courses available to learn Python
- Please ensure your laptop/desktop can run both Python and Plaxis 3D Advanced with GSE license
