Congratulations to all those who have Registered with RoGEP as it is clear RoGEP has led the way in Europe on this subject. Professional registration will be discussed at a Workshop in Leuven on 25 & 26 April 2016, as one of the main items in the agenda of the meeting of the European Member Societies in Edinburgh (2015) was the registration of Ground Engineering Professionals from a European perspective. The workshop will be held immediately before the forthcoming International Symposium on "Design of Piles in Europe. How did Eurocode 7 change daily practice?" organized by ETC3-Piles. RoGEP’s Chairman, Jim Cook, will be attending.
Numbers registering suggest that 2016 could see the Register with over 400 names from the Ground Engineering community. Already those registered at the “Professional” grade outnumber “Advisors“ and this is a very healthy sign; it is good to see recently Chartered members of the profession entering the register, for they are the future of the profession.
