Digital Data in Geotechnics Seminar to be held on 14th January 2016 at the Geological Society of London.
The government is consulting on their proposed approach to geological screening for nuclear waste disposal. National geological screening is an exercise to bring together existing information about UK geology that is relevant to the long-term safety of a geological disposal facility (GDF) and make it available in an accessible form. It is not intended to be able to definitively rule all areas as either suitable or unsuitable.
The 2016 Cooling Prize will be held in Cardiff on the 10th March. The competition is now open for entries.
The abstract deadline for The 8th International Symposium in Mining and Underground Construction due to be held 12 – 14 September 2016, Kulturens Hus in Luleå, Sweden (Ground Support 2016) has been extended until the 14th December 2015.

BSI recently published the first two Standards in the series BS EN ISO 17892. They replace test methods in BS1377, which have been withdrawn.
