The 8th International Conference on Scour and Erosion will take place in Oxford, UK from 12-15 September 2016. The conference provides a platform for scientists and engineers from around the world to exchange ideas and share advances in research and practice on the scientific and engineering challenges related to scour and erosion.
The next Meeting of Teachers of Geotechnical Subjects (MTGS) is going to be held in Edinburgh on the 1st and 2nd of September, 2016. This meeting follows on from successful meeting series in Belfast (2010) and Sheffield (2012).
The aim of the conference is to strengthen the relationships between practicing engineers, researchers and scientists within the fields of geotechnics, geotechnical engineering and engineering geology with special emphasis on the Nordic region.
Workshop on Recent Advances in Tunnelling-induced Damage to Masonry Structures, 18th April 2016, 2pm - 5.30pm, ICE, London. The workshop will include presentations from academia and industry, and will provide a forum to discuss current challenges regarding prediction and assessment of damage to masonry due to tunnelling. The workshop follows a research project undertaken at the Engineering Department of Cambridge University, and is jointly funded by the EPSRC and Crossrail. The event is free of charge.
